WARRANTY – CONDITIONS AND TERMS
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR WARRANTY
Acri-Tec Industries Corporation (Acritec) offers a limited warranty on its products to the original purchaser for personal household use with his detailed receipt or invoice showing purchase of the product from an authorized Acritec distributor. The warranty will start from the original purchase date shown on the invoice or receipt and only applies to installations in the initial location. There are some differences in the warranties when used in residential applications and in commercial applications. See each section for details if applicable.
The warranty is limited to manufacturer’s defects only and will not apply if a product is damaged by shipping or handling, is misused or abused, is involved in a fire or other natural disaster, is subject to freezing conditions, is subject to chemical or natural corrosion, and is subject to improper water chemistry. Our warranty does not cover daily wear and tear and colour fading.
The warranty also does not apply to “buyer’s remorse” or situations where the product purchased is not compatible with the existing structure or space.
All products must be carefully inspected on receipt and any damage reported to, and claimed from, the freight company. We take photos before items are shipped showing the condition of the shipment before transport. These photos will be relied on in situations where damage is reported. The installation of a damaged or defective product voids Acritec’s warranty. Any manufacturer’s defects must be reported to Acritec on receipt and before installation. And the product must be installed and maintained in accordance with the installation, operation and maintenance instructions provided. Any transformation or alternation made to an Acritec product automatically voids the warranty.
Acri-Tec will, at its option, either repair or exchange the product or affected parts or make an appropriate refund as Acritec may elect, but in no event shall the liability of Acritec exceed the original purchase price of the item. And the exchange of a unit is limited to the supply of a replacement unit of comparable size and style and does not include any cost of transport, removal or installation.
Under no circumstance shall Acritec be liable for any direct, or consequential loss, or damage arising out of the use of this product. Except as expressly provided, there shall be no warranty or obligation, expressed or implied, oral or statutory, and in no event shall Acritec, its agents or employees be liable for injury to any person, or any claim of damage, however arising.
TERMS FOR LIMITED WARRANTY
ACRYLIC KITCHEN SINKS, VANITY BASINS, LAUNDRY SINKS, AND BAR SINKS
All sinks and basins must have been installed according to the installation instructions provided.
All sinks and basins must have been maintained according to the “Easy Care” instructions provided.
The warranty does not cover damage which can be repaired by following the “Acri-Tec Instructions for Removing Scratches”.
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 3 years from the date of purchase.
Commercial: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from the date of purchase.
STAINLESS STEEL SINKS
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 3 years from the date of purchase.
Commercial: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from the date of purchase.
PURE VANITY BASINS
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 3 years from the date of purchase.
Commercial: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from the date of purchase.
PORCELAIN BASINS
All undermount basins must be installed with the clips provided.
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from the date of purchase.
Commercial: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from the date of purchase.
TOILETS
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from date of purchase.
Commercial: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from the date of purchase.
ACRYLIC BATHTUBS (INCLUDES ALCOVE AND DROP-IN BATHTUBS)
All bathtubs must be levelled when installing and checked that they drain appropriately before finalizing installation.
All bathtubs must be checked to ensure that all supporting feet are firmly touching the ground. In the case of alcove tubs all feet and the skirt must be touching the ground.
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects for 10 years following date of purchase.
ACRYLIC BATHTUBS – FREESTANDING ACRYLIC BATHTUBS
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects for 5 years following date of purchase.
ACRYLIC BATHTUBS – CLAWFOOT BATHTUBS
Clawfoot acrylic tubs must be lifted into position and not dragged. Any damage caused by dragging these tubs is not covered by our warranty.
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects for 5 years following date of purchase.
ACRYLIC BATHTUBS – WALK-IN BATHTUBS
Residential – These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 2 years.
Commercial – These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year.
COMPOSITE BATHTUBS
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 2 years from date of purchase.
CAST IRON BATHTUBS
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 2 years from date of purchase.
JETTED BATHTUBS
It is important that the unit not be lifted by holding on to piping when moving and installing.
All bathtubs are tested to ensure there are no leaks before they leave the factory. The plumbing fixtures must be tested prior to final inspection (or installation) to ensure no leaks have resulted from shipping and handling, and that the jetting system works.
Excluded from Acritec’s warranty is damage caused by power surges, modified components, and blockage by external elements (e.g. hair).
The pumps and blowers and controls are covered by the manufacturer’s warranties of those items.
Residential: The jetting systems have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 3 years from date of purchase.
ACRYLIC SHOWER BASES
Residential – These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 5 years from date of purchase.
BATHTUB DOORS AND SHOWER DOORS
Residential – These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 5 years from date of purchase.
FAUCETS
This covers both kitchen and bathroom faucets.
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from date of purchase.
ACCESSORIES
Aroma Systems and LED Light systems
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 3 years from date of purchase.
Bath pillows, Grab Bars, Waste & Overflows, Tub Drains Supplied or Purchased from Acritec
Residential: These products have a limited warranty for manufacturer’s defects of 1 year from date of purchase.
SUBMITTING WARRANTY CLAIMS
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to: RGA@acritec.com
Claims must include proof of purchase, the place and date of purchase, the model number and name of the product, measurements of the product, a full description of the problem, and photos showing the problem.
Warranty claims will be processed in an efficient manner, but customers should be aware that delays may result if all information is not received or if it is necessary for Acritec to inspect the product.
